System Overview
Inviso (Latin for “to visit, look at, or inspect”) Systems was started in early 2013. With more than 20 years of experience in medical and research software design, we identified the need for automation within the research oversight and auditing field. We wanted to provide digital tools for capturing deficiencies and findings during semiannual laboratory and facility inspections and post approval monitoring audits. Historically, compliance staff use paper forms and reports to manage and report on their inspections and audits, which is very time consuming and prone to error. Inviso Systems has designed an application that utilizes mobile device technology to capture information on an iPad or other mobile device and helps generate deficiency reports and Corrective Action Plans, as well as IO reports.
Inviso Systems worked with several large universities as technical partners to complete their Inspection module in late 2013 and their Post Approval Monitoring module in March 2014. A third module, for Biosafety Lab Inspection, is in development with an anticipated completion date of August 2014.

Our software acts as a plug-in to your existing AUP system and syncs with your “live” protocol information, such as the location(s) of research, PI contact information, species and procedures. Even if you aren’t using an electronic AUP system, we provide an easy-to-use “study import” feature to update our database with the latest information.
